Family History Books Are Here!

Family History Books Are Now Available!

The Family History books are now at the WRVHS, and ready for pickup by those who pre-purchased theirs! Our hours are Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm. The books to be shipped will be sent out by regular mail on Monday from the publisher. Didn’t purchase one? We have a limited quantity available for sale at the WRVHS, and will have some at the Branson Centennial Museum in April—when they’re gone, the book will be out of print. Needless to say, we’re all wearing HUGE smiles—the books look fantastic!

    1. There is not a specific book on the Snapp family. Instead, the Family History book contains hundreds of submitted stories about local families. There are, however, several entries for the Snapp family listed in the index.

Anyone wanting to purchase a book can stop by the WRVHS and pick one up, or give us a call at 417-546-2210 Mon–Fri from 10am–4pm and we will make arrangements to ship one to you.

  1. I’m looking for information on John David Shannon who was a sheriff and state representative in Missouri in 1830’s. Are books still available?

  2. If anyone has a copy of the Taney County & Missouri History Book they would like to sell I would be happy to make you an offer. My mother was ill and time escaped me for preordering and they seem to be out at the WRVHS. I am so extremely disappointed that I missed the opportunity to purchase one in advance. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU KNOW OF A COPY ANYWHERE FOR SALE!!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!
