Mahnkey Poetry Program at WRVHS

Mary Elizabeth (Prather) Mahnkey

Author Mary Elizabeth (Prather) Mahnkey’s life and poetry will be the focus of the Coffee, Cocoa, and Culture program at the White River Valley Historical Society on Saturday, March 23rd at 10:00am. Angel Wolf, great-granddaughter of Mrs. Mahnkey, will give a presentation that gives the audience a look at “Mamie’s” life, interspersed with readings of some of the author’s poetry by WRVHS President Ingrid Albers.

The program is for all ages, with no admission charge. Refreshments will be served, and participants will receive a sample of Mary Elizabeth’s poetry.
