The music of Christmas will be the highlight of the White River Valley Historical Society’s quarterly meeting/presentation on Sunday, December 11th.
Forsyth High School’s Select Choir, under the direction of Payton Burnett, Vocal Music Teacher, will perform an assortment of traditional Christmas carols at the free event, held at 297 Main Street, Forsyth (across from the Judicial Center). Social time begins at 1:00pm, with refreshments and tours of the Society. At 1:45, a brief membership meeting will be held, immediately followed by the musical presentation. All in the community are invited to attend.
The 55-year-old non-profit White River Valley Historical Society includes a museum, research library, and bookstore/gift shop. WRVHS regular hours are Monday–Friday, 10:00–4:00, weather permitting, at 297 Main Street in Forsyth. The Society’s Branson Centennial Museum (417-239-1912) is located at 120 S Commercial, downtown Branson, and features the Reish Family Gallery of History, as well as a bookstore/gift shop. Regular hours are Monday through Saturday, 10:00–4:00, weather permitting. There is no admission charge at either location.
