Members of the White River Valley Historical Society have announced plans for five original exhibits in the Society’s museum for 2012. Several of the exhibits will also feature educational events and workshops.
The themes of the exhibits for the year will focus on the topics of “Marriage and Courtship”, “Native Americans”, “Agricultural Roots”, “Forgotten Towns”, and “Commerce”.
The first exhibit of the year, tentatively titled “Ozark Romance”, will be completed in February. Vintage wedding clothing, pictures, and other memorabilia that might tie into this theme are needed, and details of lending the items can be discussed by calling 417-546-2210.
