Parnell Ponders In June At The Centennial Museum

The public is invited to “Parnell Ponders” a free presentation at the Branson Centennial Museum on Tuesday, June 18 from 12:30 – 1:30 PM. Featured speaker Todd Parnell is the retired president of Drury University, co-founder and retired CEO of The Bank in Springfield and former executive with The Signature Bank, Truman Bank and First National Bank. Author of Postcards from Branson: A Century of Family Reminiscence, Parnell also authored two other books and was a 2012 inductee to the Missouri Writer’s Hall of Fame.

“We are excited to have this esteemed author, businessman, educator, community activist and environmental advocate at the Branson Centennial Museum,” said Jean Babcock, Branson Centennial Museum co-curator with her husband Jim.  “Todd has advanced degrees in both business and history, giving him a uniquely informed view of Branson and the Ozarks region of his birth. His father, Ben Parnell Jr. was founder and President of the People’s Bank, now Central Bank of Branson.”

The Tuesday Talk series is presented free-of-charge by the Branson Centennial Museum and White River Valley Historical Society. Throughout 2019, various topics of local and historical interest will be presented by knowledgeable speakers every month on the third Tuesday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM. The Museum is located in historic Downtown Branson at 120 South Commercial Street.
