Nearly 250 people gathered on November 12th, 2015 for the grand opening of the “Fishing with Charlie” exhibit. The Community Presbyterian Church graciously allowed use of the sanctuary for the attendees of this special presentation, which was then followed by a ribbon-cutting and refreshments at the WRVHS. The exhibit, provided by a grant from the Roy W. Slusher Foundation, includes photographs, a mini-documentary, and memorabilia from the Charlie and Wanda Campbell family, and has an interactive fishing game, so that visitors can truly “fish with Charlie”! The Campbell’s, along with Forsyth School, also have lent items from the year Charlie led the Forsyth High School basketball team to win the State Championship.
